Our organisation is run by volunteers from right around Australia – with most having this illness themselves. They understand the needs of our ME/CFS community, and have a lived experience of what it is like to live with ME/CFS.
Volunteers are the life of our organisation. They dedicate their time to contributing and collaborating with us and our member organisations.
Our volunteers are located all around Australia, from the east coast to the west coast. We have no office, so all of our volunteers help us out online in their own time.
Most of our volunteers and board members also volunteer or assist their local ME/CFS charity or not-for-profit, and are part of the team at one of our member organisations.

“Volunteering with ME/CFS Australia has increased my knowledge of the illness, and increased my skills in the areas I help out with. I like that I am filling my spare time with something fulfilling which helps many people, rather than wasting it watching TV or being bored.”
– Jane
